Benefit for Seminarian Endowment Fund
On February 3 the Fifth Annual Dinner to benefit the Robert J. Carlson Seminarian Endowment Fund will be held at Swan Valley Banquet Center, Saginaw. Donation is $45 per person. A table for eight is $325. Checks (payable to Saginaw Serra Club-Seminarian Dinner) may be sent to Marian Moll at 3828 Fireside Lane, Freeland, MI 48623.   For information, call Marian at 989-642-2727.
 
 
Alternative Spring Break Informational Meeting
There will be a meeting on Monday, January 18, at 9:30pm for those interested in our alternative Spring Break. This year we offer two opportunities to assist those in need in Alabama. The first is a Habitat for Humanity project, and the second (for ladies only!) is with the Little Sisters of the Poor as they assist the poor and elderly.
 
 
Spring Break Religious Vocation Trip
If you are a single CMU woman, you are invited to join us for our annual Spring Break “Nun Run” March 6-12.  The Nun Run provides an opportunity for young single women to learn more about women’s religious life. We will visit three or four communities where we will participate in the daily life of the convent, praying with the sisters and learning about their way of life.  Contact Fr. Will for more information.
 
 
Blood Drive Here January 27
The American Red Cross is coming to St. Mary’s again for a January blood drive on the 27th from Noon to 6 p.m.  Our last drive here in September was a huge success due to the efforts of parish volunteers and donors.  Would you consider performing another act of charity by donating blood and/or volunteering your time for this drive?  Volunteer scheduling and donation appointments are flexible to your needs.  Please contact Pat Haggerty at patrick.haggerty@cmich.edu or (716) 870-8185.  Thank you for your generosity and support.
 
 
The 2010 John H. Goodrow Fund Benefit Ball
The 2010 Fundraising Benefit Ball will be Friday, January 15, at the Comfort Inn Conference Center. The social hour begins at 6:00pm, and the buffet dinner will be at 7:00pm. Tickets for the Ball are $30 per individual. A sponsored table of eight with donor recognition is $300. For tickets or information contact Jim or Pat Hathaway at 772-4182, or Nel Boose at 774-2818. (The Goodrow Fund provides emergency assistance for people in need within Isabella County. Proceeds are used to provide housing, utilities, transportation, clothing, food, and medical expenses.)
