Alternative Spring Break Informational Meeting
There will be a meeting on Monday, Jan. 18, at 9:30pm for those interested in our Spring Break trip. We offer two opportunities in Alabama. The first is a Habitat for Humanity project, and the second (ladies only!) is with the Little Sisters of the Poor .

Nun Run 2010—Spring Break
If you are a single CMU woman, you are invited to join us for our annual Spring Break “Nun Run” March 6-12.  The Nun Run provides an opportunity for young single women to learn more about women’s religious life. We will visit three or four communities where we will participate in the daily life of the convent, praying with the sisters and learning about their way of life.  Contact Fr. Will for more information.

Blood Drive Here January 27
The American Red Cross is coming to St. Mary’s again for a January blood drive on the 27th from Noon to 6 p.m.  Our last drive here in September was a huge success due to the efforts of parish volunteers and donors.  Would you consider performing another act of charity by donating blood and/or volunteering your time for this drive?  Volunteer scheduling and donation appointments are flexible to your needs.  Please contact Pat Haggerty at patrick.haggerty@cmich.edu or (716) 870-8185.  Thank you for your generosity and support.

World Youth Day 20100 Pilgrimage—Madrid, Spain!
St. Mary’s will join 2,000,000 Catholic young adults from around the world in Madrid, 15-21 August 2011, to celebrate faith and grow in our love of Christ.  Pope Benedict will meet with young adults that week, and celebrate a final Papal Mass on the 21st with an estimated 3,000,000 people.  Our pilgrimage will go 1-22 August.  Preparations for our pilgrimage begin this summer.  There will be an information gathering in our lounge following the 6pm Mass on January 31 to offer a presentation on World Youth Day and to answer your questions.  Sign up now to get on an email information list by contacting Fr. Will at will.prospero(at)stmarycmu.org.

Choir Rehearsal
The first choir rehearsal for the semester will be Wednesday, January 20 at 6:30pm in the sanctuary.

Bishop Cistone Asks Our Help
Bishop Joseph Cistone has called for prayers for victims and support for relief efforts following the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti. He noted special concern for Fr. Tom Moore who ministered in our diocese for 20 years until he followed a call to work with seminarians and the poor in Haiti nearly two years ago. There is a basket in the main entry for relief donations, or a link on the diocesan web page to support Catholic Relief Services, www.saginaw.org.
