Nun Run 2010—Spring Break
If you are a single CMU woman, you are invited to join us for our annual Spring Break “Nun Run” March 6-12. The Nun Run provides an opportunity for young single women to learn more about women’s religious life. We will visit three or four communities where we will participate in the daily life of the convent, praying with the sisters and learning about their way of life. Contact Fr. Will for more information.
World Youth Day 2011 Pilgrimage—Madrid, Spain!
St. Mary’s will join 2,000,000 Catholic young adults from around the world in Madrid, 15-21 August 2011, to celebrate faith and grow in our love of Christ. Pope Benedict will meet with young adults that week, and celebrate a final Papal Mass on the 21st with an estimated 3,000,000 people. Our pilgrimage will go 1-22 August.
Preparations for our pilgrimage begin this summer. There will be an information gathering in our lounge following the 6pm Mass on January 31 to offer a presentation on World Youth Day and to answer your questions. Sign up now to get on an email information list by contacting Fr. Will at will.prospero@stmarycmu.org.
24 Hour Eucharistic Adoration: Vigil for Life
Our next vigil starts after the 9pm Mass on Tuesday, February 2, and ends with Mass on Wednesday, February 3. Signups are in the back of church after weekend Masses or in the lounge. The church will be locked from midnight until 7am, where adorers will sleep overnight in the lounge (men) and library (women). Come and spend an Hour of Silence with our Lord and pray for peace.
