Ash Wednesday: February 17
Lent begins on Wednesday of this week with our celebration for Ash Wednesday. You may receive ashes at our Masses at noon, 5:00pm, 7:00pm, or 9:00pm. There is a sign up sheet in the lounge for ash distributors, lectors, and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. Please check your schedule to see when you can help.
 
Little Black Books with brief daily meditations for Lent are available in our entries. Please take one. The Baby Bottle Campaign which raises money for Central Michigan Pregnancy Services will begin Wednesday. This collection is intended to be one avenue of almsgiving during Lent.
 
 
 
Nun Run 2010—Spring Break
If you are a single CMU woman, you are invited to join us for our annual Spring Break “Nun Run” March 6-12.  The Nun Run provides an opportunity for young single women to learn more about women’s religious life. We will visit three or four communities where we will participate in the daily life of the convent, praying with the sisters and learning about their way of life.  Contact Fr. World Youth Day 2011 Pilgrimage—Madrid, Spain!
St. Mary’s will join 1,000,000 Catholic young adults from around the world in Madrid, 15-21 August 2011, to celebrate faith and grow in our love of Christ.  Pope Benedict will meet with young adults that week, and celebrate a final Papal Mass on the 21st with an estimated 2,000,000 people.  Our pilgrimage will go 2-22 August.

Change in Choir Rehearsal Schedule
Newcomers Welcome!
Effective immediately, the St. Mary’s choir will only be rehearsing each week at 5pm on Sundays before the 6:00pm Mass. If the time commitment on Wednesday nights has kept you away, come and join us now! Every one of us has the natural gift of singing that God has given us. Come to choir and we’ll help you develop that gift!
